how's this for a bill?

Received this bill in the mail from Ambulance Victoria - for my little trip from Cohuna Hospital to St John of God Hospital in Bendigo - it took an hour and a bit to get there.
Thank goodness we have ambulance cover as our annual cover which is less than $100 for a family fully covers this.  Make sure you have cover too!

My husband sucked in his breath and said, "Hooley Dooley!" -- enough said! (We're glad we have ambulance cover too!)

Oh yes I agree, try and tell the youngens if ambo cover is not included in your medical insurance make sure you do it seperately..

And here we are in the third week of august - yep still some very cold mornings but lovely sunshine most days - sometimes with a cold breeze sometimes not We are still calviing here on the farm and are not quite half way but getting there - the bulls are in with the herd so hopefully doing what bulls do (if you know what I mean!) 1st week of September 2025

As the days go by.........yes its September! On the farm we are three quarters of the way through calving and the last group of "girls" to calve are quite spread out so it might take a while Excitingly we baled 210 rolls of silage this last week - so thats feed stored away for another day and another 120 odd bales from a block in town. Its so good to have this stored away as the grass doesnt last forever and cows still need to be fed. Fingers crossed we get some good rains this week so that the paddocks will be watered from above and not from irrigation. This week I also managed to finish a project thats taken me a month or two to complete - but Ive enjoyed every step of it. The pattern is the Tussie Mussie cushion and is designed by Emma Jean Jansen. I also bought the kit to make the cushion from her and just love the fabrics in it. a special finish october 7- october 13

Ive had a very special finish and its a quilt that I love, I wish I didnt have to make but Im so glad that I have When mum went to heaven, the online quilting group that I am a member of - Southern Cross Quilters had the members make me heart blocks in rememberance of my dear mum. I asked for rainbow colours for the hearts as one of mums favorite songs was Somewhere Over the Rainbow. This is the result and its it lovely..... Its taken me a while to be able to sew them together and to quilt and bind it - I needed to wait for the right time Yes it was sad but also so very healing and it is one very special quilt that will hold a very special place in my heart Thank you to each and every one of the SCQuilters who made me a block Your love shines through Also PS the fabric I used as the borders and the backing fabrics were mums as was the label panel - that felt right
