I couldnt help myself - Ive just finished these socks (ravelry link to a nice ribbed sock).  They turned out quite well although the colouring wasnt what I thought it was going to be.
A lovely lady who reads and comments on my blog quite often - Lyn - commented that she always has a pair of socks on the needles so of course I couldnt go against that advise - thanks Lyn!!!!
So I cast on these socks which are serpentine socks and this time they are toe up for a bit of a change.  The yarn is knit picks stroll sport so they are thick ones and should be nice and warm for winter.
BUT....because I have got a little bit organised and actually have several projects all bagged up with yarn and pattern and needles I just had to pick one out of that lot and cast it on too!  This pattern is holden shawlette and Im using some "holy" wollmeise yarn for it. So I spose not too bad - one finish and two starts and sadly I almost started another project but I controlled myself (for now!)

Thanks for the mention on your blog! :-)

I certainly do always have a pair of socks on the needles - they are light, transportable and quick; and because I use self-striping yarn I no longer need a pattern!

I finished Holden several weeks ago but haven't blocked [ or blogged ] it yet

It's a lovely pattern and will be gorgeous in that Wollemeise.
I made a Kiri in Wollemeise a couple of years ago and it is so nice to wear.

Pamela Blanche Geoghegan was born in Bendigo on the 30th December 1938 (yes she just missed her birthday this year) to loving parents Stanley Norman Geoghegan and Emily Ada Blanche Pattinson. The year previously her brother Brian Stanley was born but he died shortly after birth. When she was only 6 years old her father Stan passed away at the age of 30 and for the next 13 years it was just Pam and her mother Blanche living together and they got on famously as Mum would say. The 4th of March 2024 is now a very special day for our family - it was the day Ollie (Oliver) Michael Sterling arrived! There was a lot of waiting for his arrival and Sarah was 11 days overdue I had been in Airlie Beach awaiting his happy arrival for 2 weeks - Gary and Aimee came for a week but unfortunately missed out on his arrived by a couple of days. Oh he is such a cute little dude! Kris, Sarah, Evie and Jessie are totally besotted with him as are we all! So enjoy the cute pics below and excuse me my lack of blog posting!

2023 - week 51 - December 17 - December 23

This week has been so very hard. My beautiful Mum went to be with Jesus on Thursday 21st December. I am so very grateful that I was able to sit with her for countless hours in her last days - boy did I talk some rubbish to her as she slept and I embroidered and I wouldnt pass it up for the world. Now we are in the midst of making "arrangements" and I am so very aware that Mum would want me to get it "right". She was definate on that when organising my stepfather Austens funeral and Id like to be able to do the same. Because of Christmas and New Year and holidays etc her funeral will be on Tuesday 2nd January at 11am at AG Adams Funerals in Kerang and then she will be joining Austen at Kerang Cemetry. I miss her so - all the phone calls, visiting her, spending time with her (and also the other residents and staff at Cohuna village) A large part of my life and days is now gone and Ill need to work out what the new routine is. I do plan on going back to the villa
