2024 - July 22 - July 28

The weather outside has been frightful But the crafting inside has been delightful (and reading too!) I feel like Ive had such a productive week, finishing off things that have been started a little while and making a couple of super quick projects as well Ive been busy on the sewing machine (aka Pamela Blanche as she is known) and made some placemats as well as finishing a table topper
I also knitted this super quick and easy scarf - The Local Scarf - which was a kit from Skein Sisters in Sydney
And as the Olympic Games has started look out for quite a few knitting projects finished as I love watching it! On the reading front
I finished reading the physical book of the Duke and I , book one of the bridgerton series by Julia Quinn. Ive of course watched the series on Netflix and listened to it on audio book but wanted to read it as a book in my hand and it didnt disappoint. It is set in England in the time of the "ton" and high society and is the love story of Daphne and Simon who start out as pretending to be courting to fob off undesirable suitors but of course end up falling in love. I love that Lady Whistledown "reports" at the start of each chapter what is happening society wise. Because I hadnt been well this was a lovely comfort read and 5 stars out of 5 because of that.
I also finished on audio via audible The Reset Roadhouse which is book 10 in the Borrowed world series by Franklin Horton - one book to go! Book 10 and Im still going! Im still enjoying this book series although some of the things are not that believable Jim wants to set up a roadhouse to gain intelligence of what is happening in the area and the world and of course there are issues doing this. I would give this one 3 stars out of 5 - Im just continuing the series to get it done and yes its still engaging. Well quite a busy week as you can see and thankfully Im starting to feel a bit better each day - except not when its cold!
