December reading update
Ok Im yet to finish anything craftwise - but I have finished christmas - its all packed away so I thought I would do a reading update
Here we go
Atmosphere by Taylor Jenkins Reid
This book came with lots of people saying how good it was and I wasnt disappointed!
Its set in the 1980s and tells the story of Joan Goodwin who has always wanted to go into space as she is obsessed with stars and finds herself in the astronaut program at NASA
It takes us through her training, the friendships she makes and the challenges she faces
And yes there is a suprising but lovely love interest
Did I cry at the end
Yes!
A huge 5 stars
The Cosy Croissant Cafe by Jane Linfoot
My daughter gave me this to read and it was such a lovely easy book to read
Its the story of Betty and her pony Pumpkin and they time in the village of St Aidans
Yes there is baking, and small village life and of course a gorgeous man
An easy relaxing read and 4 stars
Shadow of Night by Deborah Harkness (via Audible)
Book 2 following the Discovery of Witches
Matthew and Diana travel back to the 1500s in search of Ashmole 782
Diana meets several famous historical characters as well as learning how to use her witches powers
She also sees Matthew in a different way and they grow closer together
Of course they are being pursued by those who dont like what they are doing!
This is an excellent series and Im looking forward to listening to the third one
Of course its 5 stars
I may as well add the daily devotional Ive been reading each night as I go to bed
Ive really enjoyed reading this at the end of each day
It only takes a few minutes and has me thinking - a lot
5 stars
Ok thats me all caught up - I will do an end of year post with my reading stats etc - its pretty impressive if I do say so myself
