2nd week of September 2025
Well its been a sort of productive week (I think) well to be honest I dont really know where the week went! I know I had several day trips away to meetings in Bendigo (twice) and several online as well and we should be going to Queensland next week for a weeks holiday but its not to be. (insert sad face)
Farmwise calving is still happening but definately slower and we have managed to bale some silage so thats awesome - feed put away for another day however in a month that the forecasters said would be a wet month its been incredibly dry!
We have little faith in the weather bureaus predictions and only believe it when it actually happens. This is annoying as you would like to be able to plan crops etc with some degree of confidence when we have little.
However there have been some beautiful morning sunrises as can be seen from this pic.
I did manage to attend another art class with Jenni Finn and this time it was painting lemons - this one was on a canvas and im pretty happy with how it turned out
Im enjoying doing these classes once a week
Ive started work on an embroidered cushion wiht little circles appliqued onto background squares - theres 144 to do so Ive only made a small start but it will look great when its done!
reading wise I finished the final book in the Throne of Glass series by Sarah J Maas - Kingdom of Ash This book was over 900 pages long and was daunting when I started but as I got closer and closer to the end I didnt want it to end! Its hard to do a review without giving out spoilers so all I will say is that all the loose ends are tied up and you are sure how each character ends up. and of course 5 stars out of 5 Im going to be brave and started listening to the Crescent City series by the same author on audio - 3 books and all huuuuugggge so wish me luck! Well thats another week over and done with - til next time!
