exploring faith through fabric
Just home from a very interesting and inspiring exhibition held at Cohuna Uniting Church by the Traralgon Unting Church Fabric Art Group.
The ladies make fabric art "banners" for hanging in their church - fabric is pinned onto foam boards and heaps of different textures/fabrics etc are used.
Very hard to describe - and I wasnt allowed to take photos so will have to leave it up to your imagination.
Most of the designs were very simple - but very provoking because of their simplicity.
One was just very dark blue garbadine with metallic gold thread embroidered on it of the three wise men and the christmas star. Very simple but delightful to look at
