second week of April 2026
Second week of April and it is starting to get a little cooler - we are not lighting the wood heater yet, the split system is doing the job for now but it wont be far away
Firstly, I finished this sashiko stitchery I bought from Patchwork Place Bendigo
The kit was to make up a set of coasters but I didnt like the thought of all that stitching getting possibly wet from cups so I made it into a small table topper and Im really happy with how it came out.
A couple of finishes on the reading front
Firstly via audible
A Court of Frost and Starlight by Sarah J Maas
Smallest book in the series - but still good
Its told from the perspective of different characters which gives a bit more insight into how they are feeling
Now onto the final book in the series - which for me when I read them before was the best one!
Next a physical book
One Golden Summer by Carley Fortune
Sarah gifted me this book
Its a romance with a good plot but it seemd to finish up too quickly
Its the story of Alice who takes her much loved Nan to their summer cottage to recover from surgery She meets up with Charlie who is cute, a jokester and a flirt
Of course they fall in love, but there are a few hurdles
See you next week!
