first and second weeks of May
Well with me rarely finishing much at the moment I have decided to just post fortnightly as I might have a bit more to report The reason you are not seeing many finishes is because I am working on several quilts at once - and they are mostly hand pieced so the progress is slow Firstly we have the Green Tea and Sweet Beans quilt (pattern by Jenn Kingwell) and I got the kit from Amitie And then we have the "Is Di mad" hexagon project! I cut the pieces of a layer cake in 4s to get 5 inch back ground squares and then Im appliquing 5/8# hexis onto it. Crazy? Yep 1176 hexis are needed and yes Ive cut them all but I must admit its a really calming and soothing project to work on But it wont be quick! And yes my scrap basket does look considerably smaller after I cut all those hexagons!!!!! And then if that wasnt crazy enough Ive started and english paper pieced patchwork at the crosses!
