Second week of April and it is starting to get a little cooler - we are not lighting the wood heater yet, the split system is doing the job for now but it wont be far away Firstly, I finished this sashiko stitchery I bought from Patchwork Place Bendigo The kit was to make up a set of coasters but I didnt like the thought of all that stitching getting possibly wet from cups so I made it into a small table topper and Im really happy with how it came out. A couple of finishes on the reading front Firstly via audible A Court of Frost and Starlight by Sarah J Maas Smallest book in the series - but still good Its told from the perspective of different characters which gives a bit more insight into how they are feeling Now onto the final book in the series - which for me when I read them before was the best one! Next a physical book One Golden Summer by Carley Fortune Sarah gifted me this book Its a romance with a good plot but it seemd to finish up too quickly Its the story of Alice w...

ANd here we are in april already! We've also just had Easter and I had a BIG list of things to finish and amazing I got it all done! I finished these socks This is the second time Ive made this pattern - firstly I made it up as a test knit - the pattern is Tootsie Rolls and its made for self striping yarn. I finished March but finishing some pretty big projects - firstly the Wensleydale quilt which was foundation pieced - second time I have made this and its such a lovely design by Jenn Kingwell. I used beautiful Japanese fabrics gifted to me by David - a real treat and I hope Ive given justice to the fabrics Next finish was the Advent stitch along by Hugs and Kisses - this one took a lot of stitches but I did enjoy the construction. I also did another card class with my friend Juliana - these were using the sweet treats papers and I love how they turned out Im enjoying new ways to make cards and might try and work out some of my own designs soonish And finally another pair of socks finished - and another green pair! For someone who never used to like green I think Ive really embraced it. The Pattern is called Cirrus Socks by Helen Stewart and I used some Fibre Lily socks Ive had in my stash since last years Bendigo sheep and wool show Now onto reading - Summer Island by Kris...
