Last week of September 2025

ANd just like that September is gone! On the farm calving is "almost" done - the last few always seem to take ages and we are irrigating and making silage I finished quite a few things too
Firstly this zippered pouch - and if you know me you know I dont like zippers but I survived this one - and I just love the fabrics, it was a kit
I really enjoyed the class at my art journalling session on a wednesday with Jenni Finn and some new friends. The grass at the bottom was such fun to do and its one of the weeks that I was really pleased with what I made!
And finally I was happy to make these three small items that have been sitting around for quite some time (years in fact) a name badge, a bookmark and an embroidered box
This is a book that will stay with me for a while I think! It starts out telling the story of a girl who goes on holiday to the Galapagos Islands while having to leave her Doctor partner at home in america as hes a doctor. That part of the story is about her time on the island and interactions with the people there and the frustrations of not having wi fi etc and her guilt about leaving her partner. But then mid book theres a twist - and I wont share what that is as it will spoil it for you - but oh my!!!! And then the things it sends your thoughts to after that - well, no words If you dont want to revisit some of the restrictions in covid this is not for you but personally I found it quite healing in that regard and it will really have you questioning why you do what you do Highly recommend! and of course 5 stars
And also finished the first book in the Crescent City series - House of Earth and Blood Coming off the back of finishing the throne of glass series I was a bit daunted by the world building to start with but then of course it got me hooked in. There are fae, shape shifters, demons, swords, a bit of love interest and angels! This book is quite complex and I must admit I enjoyed it much more via audible than reading the physical book. When I first read it I gave it four stars but its now a 5 star read for me
