March reading!

OK as the month is drawing to a close (how did that happen???) I thought I would do an update on books I have finished this month - and there are quite a few Firstly "the precious" Onyx Storm!
I so wanted to read this and desperately so but also didnt want it to finish so I actually "rationed" my reading time! This is book 3 in the Empyrean series and of course there are dragons, gryffins, venin and riders Also traitors, selfish people, war and romance Could it get much better? Probably not I so want Xaden to change back to how he should be, I so want Violet to have love and Andarna to find her peace Is that enough spoilers???? I should add I read this as a physical book! And did I mention 5 stars Secondly as a physical book I read The Sewing Machine by Natalie Fergie
After Onyx Storm I needed a non fantasy book to read and this was perfect and a 5 star read A historical fiction with a hint of mystery in which the Singer sewing machine connects the characters. There are three timelines at play and I enjoyed the family stories and histories as well as the Singer sewing machine and also sewing, dressmaking and mending references. Also how just by helping someone in a simple way you can make a world of difference to them. Next are three audio books - and I did a lot of audio listening this month while working on my Beach walk blanket (there will be a seperate post about that!) I read the three available books in the Elizabeth Cage series - mainly because they are written by Jodi Taylor and narrated by Zara Ramm - my favorite combination of authors and narrators
Book 1 is White Silence and tells the story of Elizabeth Cage who has special abilities to see peoples colours. She is married to her lovely and reliable husband Ted but then things go very astray I loved it - quirky and odd but lovely as well. Book 2 is Dark Light and continues the adventures
There are even evil standing stones - who would have thought? And finally book three - Long Shadows
More adventures and Elizabeth finally finds out who she really is (and probably is not) Great series and all 5 star listens! So all in all a solid month of reading and listening!
