December 23 - December 31 2024
Well thats a wrap for 2024!
I managed to (mostly) do a weekly blog update = Im not sure if I will do an update as often in 2025 but Ill see what happens
I hope youve enjoyed my journey over the year and the things that I have achieved
Christmas Day was a quiet one for Gary and I - just the two of us, and to be honest it was quite nice. Didnt have to cook huge masses of food or rearrange half the house - but we still used the "good" china and cutlery and had turkey and ham with all the trimming plus pavlova and plum pudding!
I finished the final three projects of the Chandlers cottage advent
- and initial ornament (of course i did the letter d)
- a bubble wavy coaster
- a hexi mat
I think Ive said it before, but Ive enjoyed making the little projects, doing some things I havent done before and also using some beautiful fabics - my gifting container has had a good top up too!
And for my final reading finish I read the physical book "The unsinkable Greta James" by Jennifer Smith Wasn't sure about this book - it came from a book club but it was surprisingly good!
Its the story of a rock guitarist who has lost her mum and goes on the cruise that her mum and father were to go on for their wedding anniversary
She's going through a tough time relationship wise and career wise and doesn't embark on the cruise with the best attitude but has some great growth and learning
I hope youve enjoyed the crafting and reading journey with me in 2024!
I managed to read 70 books (YEP!!!) with my aim being to read 61
Yes my to read list is still quite long but I have chipped away a fair bit on the physical books - and actually moved on some I started but really didnt enjoy
Ive lost count of the number of crafting projects I finished but Im quite sure it was more than my goal of 50 - again my to do list of craft things has got a little smaller but still takes up a lot of room!
Heres to 2025 may it be a kinder year to all
Much Love Di xxx
